Fresh parsley is one of my favourite herbs, I especially love the smell when cutting through a bunch of crispy fresh stems. Actually the smell always reminds me of when I was little and Nanna would get me to help her cook Qaqocc mimli, a maltese dish of stuffed artichokes. I would go out into the garden and pick a huge bunch of parsley to use in the stuffing. I loved eating it as much as I loved helping to make it. Now I have my own patch of parsley that I sowed with seeds my Nannu saved for me in one of those tiny sample jam jars.
Anyway here is a little water colour painting of a sprig of parsley that I painted recently in my favourite pallette of greens and yellows.
